Salaam To All,
I am appealing to my readers for financial help. My employer has been unable to pay many of the faculty and employees here their full salary for months now. The deficits have exhausted what little reserves I had.
As I write, I have USD 10.00 (ten) in my pocket and soon will be reduced to eating tinned food. I have to renew fees for this website soon as well.
If you can make a contribution, no matter how small, that will be a great help.
Thank you.

UPDATE 8 May 2013: May Allah reward you who have helped. I received about USD 350 yesterday from generous readers, which allows us to buy petrol and food. Thank you very much.
Just found out through the grapevine that, due to Political Loss in recent election, our salaries this month may not be paid for 6 weeks. I need USD 3,000 to survive and provide for my dependents. Please help if you can, inshAllah.
UPDATE 12 MAY 2013: Alhamduillah. We have received half-salary today. Thank you once again for your support dear readers. May Allah keep you and yours always in good provision and refuge.

Insh’Allah Dr. Zaid. May Allah make things easy for you and your loved ones, my dear respected elder. A’meen
Salaam … thank you kindly Brother, and may bring such prayers to you when you are my age … Ameen
How do u leave in malaysia, no salary?
What is your budget per year, fees etc……
Thankyou
Salaam Brother Khidr,
We have a salary, but it has been up to two weeks late late and incomplete (as per contract) for some time now. I am feeding nine mouths and caring for one child in Uni (now PhD candidate) and three others still in grammar school. Fees plus upkeep, car, rent, insurance, food, utilities and amenities come to about USD 3000 monthly.
I have been short of that now for 4-5 months, which has exhausted my reserves due to the university’s mismanagement (they do their best though). I make a little money from selling books from time to time, not much, and from editing that comes my way on occasion. So far, people have responded to this plea with about USD 500, giving us have enough for food and petrol.
Thank you for your concern. May Allah grant you His Refuge and Guidance. Wasalaam. – oz
Assalaam Alaykum Dr. Zaid
I praying to Allah Subhanahuw Wataala to grant you a favour for the task you are still doing. ALLAH says
“O my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs (34:14).
That is a test for the believers! I’m still at the University of Dar Es Salaam persuing M.A. in Development Studies and it was painful when I saw your letter while I’m not well off to send you anything. May ALLAH receive my supplication to bestow you with His grants than you had before
Salaam and thank you brother. May Allah prosper your studies.
Wa’alaykumusalaam Warahmatullah, ALLAHUMA AMIIN, Fajazakallahul khaira and you too Dr
